This weekend we had Camdyn's 1st Birthday party at the house. We invited 5 of her friends from Troup. Her Maw-Maw, Paw-Paw, Aunt Leslie and cousins also came. The festivities began Friday night. I had to bake the 4 cake tiers for the Barbie doll cake, make a pesto blossom, and make lemon cheesecake bars. Needless to say it was a late night!
The next morning I began the icing process. I was not sure how the cake would turn out, but I was surprisingly happy with the outcome!! My first of many birthday cakes! The next step was making 8 mini barbie cakes for the kids to decorate. They turned out great and the kids enjoyed decorating their dresses. Camdyn had a wonderful time playing with all of her friends. She was worn out by the end of the day. She would follow the girls everywhere around the house. It was a great 1st birthday and now onto year 2!!
