The Mangum Family: Camdyn's New Friend!

Wednesday, I began watching a 4 month old little girl named Abby. She arrived at 7 am, which is ussually about the time Camdyn wakes up and the two of us and Daddy spend some quality time playing in bed. Camdyn was confused and a little jealous. Whenever I held Abby, Camdyn would just cling to me. I think Randall was a little jealous for Camdyn too!

At church that night, Camdyn went to the nursery where she is usually the only child, except for sometimes one other boy. So she is used to getting all of the attention. Well... that night there was a 2nd boy, about Camdyn's age. He wanted Mrs. Rogers to hold him, but Mrs. Rogers was Camdyn's!! So to add to her confusing day, Camdyn had to share Mommy and Mrs. Rogers.
Randall and I stayed up worrying what we should do. We decided to wait it out and let her get used to what was happening. Poor thing....her whole world was turned upside-down. She was no longer the center of attention. Who were these babies trying to steal away her Mommy and Mrs. Rogers?!?
The next day was better. I am trying to get Camdyn to play with Abby. We played peek-a-boo, and Camdyn helped rock her in the baby swing, yikes! The day was great, except for one little fit when Camdyn insisted on having her bottle the same time as Abby. Camdyn actually gave Abby a couple of toys to play with, and tried to play catch with her. She also helped change a diaper! Pulling off the wet one and throwing it on the ground!!
This will be a learning experience for all of us. Camdyn will soon be a giving little princess. She is already turning into mommy's little helper! Ahh! I love her!
